Joining the Fire pack made Aether's confidence grow. This unexpected test, however, was something he might not be ready for.

Aether using his wings to "walk" across the branches of the trees. The number of trees was thinning, and Aether was just about to fly off to a different place until he saw Famine strolling by.

What a creature, Aether thought. So enthralled by the black's beauty that he had leaned over and fell. The claws of his wings were still attached to a tree branch, so he swung there for awhile. Would she bother to talk to me though? Aether wondered, being a mutation supported by the Fly blessing. He looked at the ground, oh, how sinister it is. Famine was now past him, there were no more trees to climb, so the only way Aether would be able to reach her was if he got down. He fluttered down, landing clumsily and went after Famine, his wings carrying him like a bat.

"Ex--excuse me ... miss," Aether's voice was eerie, but also nervous. "Miss ... miss."
