She was right in thinking he was older than her, though by how far might have been underestimated. Mitternacht kept Anubis unusually youthful, making him seem just out of his teen state when in fact he was fully grown. The black brute's head tilted slightly at the fem's act, gold rimmed ears giving a twitch but remaining completely calm. There was no threat in the action and it wasn't like he was stranded there. An easy teleport would put him outside the ring.

She was right about another thing. He had tried to scare her. Usually it worked too, many wolves were easily startled when he teleported behind them. However, she would be wrong if she genuinely thought he sucked at that little magic trick. No, he'd been using it since he was just a small pup and was quite accustomed to it by now. Either way, he didn't much care what she thought of him, her opinion was meaningless in his eyes.

"Poke fun, mainly," Anubis answered simply, tail flicking over hhis paws lightly. "By the way, your fireworks suck." He didn't find her mannerisms particularly attractive, they lacked grace and ingenuity. Therefore there wasn't much of a reason for him to waste energy on pleasing her.
