Veterinarian & Laboratory

Entering this building, the scent of disinfectants and medications linger in the air. The first rooms just inside the entrance provide offices for the veterinarians who work tirelessly to help injured and sick animals. A creature in need of medical assistance would be wise to seek their aid. However, the benefits of seeking the care of a vet must be weighed against the dangers, as the veterinarians are not the only ones who work in this building. Several laboratories branch out from the rear corridors, providing workplaces and offices for the many scientists who work here. Some perform legitimate scientific work, studying the creatures that roam the mountain or helping them when they are injured. Others, however, perform terrifying experiments on the animals that manage to fall into their clutches. Enter at your own risk.

(Please keep the experiments realistic, nothing like adding two tails or creating DNA hybrids)

UPDATE: See staff listing in board footer.

Note: All veterinarians must be hired by the senior vets to work in the veterinary wings of this building. Research scientists, however, do NOT need to be hired to work in the research areas of this building. Job descriptions are as follows:

Veterinarian - Responsible for providing medical care to the animals. Will only be hired if the senior vets believe that they hold the highest interest of the animals in mind. Note, however, that this does NOT mean that they must return all animals to the wild. A vet may, depending upon circumstances, decide that the interests of the animal are better served by spending the remainder of their life in captivity (in the case of severe injuries which may prevent the animal from hunting in the wild), or in rare instances, may be forced to put an animal down.

Researcher - There really is no set description for researchers. All research scientists are considered to be 'renting' lab space in this medical building, and can perform whatever research/experiments/tests they wish (regardless of concern for animal welfare). Remember, however, that experiments much remain realistic (no DNA grafting to form tiger/wolf hybrids, etc, is allowed).
